Pole heels (16+) types

Knee pads are essential!

In this course, you will learn the fundamental steps, elements, turns, grips, and waves that are present in every choreography. The focus of this course is on practicing the basic elements, including grounding techniques and the correct hand and foot positions.

At the end of some classes, there will be a small choreography based on the elements learned. On other days, we will dedicate the entire session to refining technique. To dance well, it’s essential to master the basic steps confidently. You can come in socks instead of heels to give it a try.

WHAT IS IMPORTANT TO KNOW BEFORE Pylon first class.

Knee pads are essential!

You can attend this course without a HEELS POLE BASE, especially if you already have a dance background or wish to start dancing quickly (though we don’t recommend skipping this step). The choreography is relatively simple and slow, making it accessible to everyone.

There will always be ample time allocated for conditioning and practicing more complex elements; however, less emphasis will be placed on the basic movements, as you are already familiar with them from the Pole-Heels-Base course.

Knee pads are essential!

In this course, you can expect more challenging choreography that includes some acrobatic tricks, such as handstands with the pole and/or floor acrobatics. However, there’s no need to worry—easier alternatives will always be available for the most difficult moves.
